Vintage Design

Made of black and cream ABS plastic these valets, coat racks, towel racks were designed in the 1960s by famed Japanese designer, Mako Hasuike, for the Italian company Gedy of Milan. Each one has seven useful arms. The bottom three are long, most likely for folded towels or trousers, and spin freely on the shaft for placement wherever you need them. The top four are short, most likely for unfolded towels, robes, shirts, jackets, or coats, and rotate all together in a fixed position. We found these in a hot tub room in a marvelous mid-century modern home, but you could use them in a bathroom, kitchen, bedroom, or maybe your entryway.
