About This Piece

Vintage Design

Ceramic service composed of a dish and three small plates decorated by Michel Barbier for the Cérenne workshop in Vallauris in the 1950s. This service represents dove nymphs in bluish, cream and turquoise tones on a shiny black background. The feminine curves are engraved at the tip, giving depth to this very poetic decoration. The dish measures 31 cm and the plates 18 cm. Very good condition except a chip on the rim of the dish which has been masked with a marker (see pictures).
