Large and labelled Murano ''Sommerso'' glass vase by Alessandro Mandruzzato - Italy, 1960s. ''Sommerso'' is a technique developed in Murano in the 1930s which was very popular in the 1950s and 1960s. The result is a glass with contrasting colours that is caused by a clear layer. Colours: red, yellow and clear. Original label still intact (see pictures) - the label can be easily removed if wanted. Dimensions: height: 22.5 cm; width: 5 cm; depth: 5 cm. Excellent vintage condition.
