Vintage Design

Convenient style regence stamped with cabinetmaker Nicolas Berthelmi dating from the beginning of the Louis XV time.
Two "NB" stamps for Nicolas Berthelmi are on the amounts under marble.
Nicolas Berthelmi worked in his workshop on rue du Faubourg Saint Antoine since 1731.
Quickly his talent allowed him to reach the rank of master cabinetmaker whom he obtained in Paris in 1735.
This dresser in violet veneer wood opens at 3 drawers spread over three rows.
His deep varnish suggests a beautiful and complex work of chilled chevron.
The ornamentation in golden bronzes is elegant and of a precise chisel.
Finally, she is wearing a marble Sarrancolin Ilhet, known as Sarrancolin Versailles, molded which is reported.
