Bubble Sputnik Lamp
Design Motoko Ishii; Japanese lighting designer, for Staff Leuchten Germany around 1970.
Construction of a hanging lamp, which is suspended from the ceiling with a long threaded rod.
The end of the rod is screwed to a ball, from the ball in the middle of the lamp; 84 rods go outwards in a star shape, at the ends of which transparent mouth-blown glass balls with thread are screwed on (almost 90.5 cm in diameter)!
High-quality chrome-plated brass, in the quality and finish of Staff Leuchten.
The lamp is in excellent condition, with only a few signs of age and use.
