Blanche, are a sign of a frequent attendance of a French writer and th Counetss and Patron of arts, A.L. Pecci-Blunt: despite of literary and diplomatic commitments, Paul Morand always tries to dinner or lunch with the Countess in Rue de Babylon 32. Paul Morand (Paris, 1888 –1976) Paul Morand was a French writer, novelist, writer of essays and short stories, playwright and diplomat. He is considered one of the fathers of the modern style in French literature. On 24 October 1968 he was elected to the Académie française, succeeding Maurice Garçon. During this correspondence he was writing Le Voyage, 1927, Gallant Europe, 1927, Champions du monde, 1930, L'art de mourir, 1932. Countess Anna Laetitia Pecci (Rome, 1885 - Marlia, 1971) Better known as Mimì , the Italian noblewoman was an art collector, patron and nephew of Pope Leo XIII. Extremely volcanic, she was very active in the cultural field, opening numerous lounges, galleries and theaters. In 1919 she married Cecil Blumenthal, later changed to Blunt, a wealthy Jewish banker from New York, heir to an important collection of nineteenth-century French painting. His Parisian and Roman salons was frequented by artists and intellectuals of the caliber of Alberto Moravia, Mario Praz, Salvador Dalì, Paul Valery, Poulenc, Paul Claudel.
