What you see is an old English, and more precisely Victorian, photo frame, dating back therefore to a period between 1837 and 1901. Made with a perfect and contained oval shape and with 9K yellow gold foil on metal, its entire surface, both front and back, has been decorated: on the front we find an engraved cross, colored with splendid blue enamels; the passage of more than 100 years has affected this decoration, causing some points to come away, but it certainly has not affected the charm and overall beauty of the jewel. Turning it around we will find ourselves faced with another image, that of a belt with a buckle, represented here with a shape that is very reminiscent of a "Q": the belt, in the Victorian tradition, is the symbol of a binding love that unites two people , the giver and the wearer; the belt and buckle thus become the ideal representation to create the image of perfect harmony between two people who love each other, united by an eternal and binding feeling, a symbol of indissoluble loyalty and lasting memory.
