About This Piece

Vintage Design

Vintage life size human anatomical skeleton model of the bone system for scientific and educational use.
Made for the German Hygiene Museum in Dresden in 1959, material unknown.
Marked on the wood with the typical eye symbol of the Dresden Museum.
The bones are made so well that it looks real, the head can open and the jaw can move.

The skeleton stands very stable.
On a square wooden base and held upright with an iron and wooden rod.
The base has underneath 4 rotating wheels so very easy to move around .

Good vintage condition. One vinger missing and the end of one vinger and the end of one toe.

Height of the skeleton itself is 179 cm.

The last picture is a photo made by Ida Kar in 1959 inside the Deutsches Hygiene-Museum in Dresden where you can see 7 of the same skeletons ready for display in the Museum.
