18th Century Louis XV Style Birch Buffet

Vintage Design

Large Louis XV period Four Door Cabinet with Red Cherry wood front and sides. It is composed by definition of two plumb bodies each offering two leaves with large mouldings. The latter are equipped with iron lock entries, working locks and their keys, all original. The interiors have three and one 55 cm deep shelves on fixed slats.
Also to be appreciated is the presence, one third of the way up, of a retractable service shelf, with moulded edges, which is very functional, especially if this piece of furniture is used as a china cabinet.
Although relatively Sober, the upper crossbar of this Four Shutters is embellished with a Decoration with Rupture, the lower crossbar is fretworked and the visible uprights are fluted.
The whole is topped by a moulded Cornice with rounded corners and rests on two hind legs at the front and two straight legs at the back.
The back of the cabinet is in Oak.
One will note the Quality and the obvious Robustness of this Four Doors of the Loire Valley, which will allow it to be copiously furnished. It will delight the lovers of authenticity in search of a great capacity of arrangement.
