19th Century Walnut Corner Cabinets, Set of 2

About This Piece

Vintage Design

Set of two pieces of furniture in Quarter Circle, in solid Walnut and veneered, and composed of two bodies.
The upper element is a tiered shelf with generously curved and sculpted scrolls. There are two shelves of decreasing size.
The lower part has a top with a moulded rim and a small drawer with a drawer knob on the belt. Its rounded front is underlined by ornate strips forming frames, ornaments that can also be found on either side of this drawer. Underneath, each Corner opens by two curved doors, equipped with a lock in working order accompanied by its key. These leaves are composed of recessed panels with beautiful Walnut veining. The interior is fitted with a quarter-round shelf, mounted on racks and therefore adjustable to suit your needs, with a total storage height of 67 cm.
The whole unit rests on a wide plinth, itself encamped on three short legs positioned at each of the three corners.
The back of the cabinet and the bottom of the drawer are in Chestnut.
One will appreciate the Movements of this Pair of Corners, their curved lines as well as the variety of designs offered by its Walnut. One will note the very good condition of these Corner Cabinets, devoid of wormholes and cracks. Each of them can be dismantled into two parts.
