Important bronze centerpiece with a gilt patina, signed by the sculptor Edward Drouot (1859-1945), after the famous composition by the first painter of King Charles Lebrun (1619-1690) entitled ''The Triumph of Alexander or the Triumphal Entry of Alexander the Great into Babylon'' and kept in the Louvre Museum.
Composition sculpted in bas-relief and very finely chiselled and engraved, taken with sphinx decoration, rests on a moulded base and gadroons.
Dimensions: width 54 cm, height 13 cm, diameter 8 cm
Signed ''Drouot'', stamp of the Parisian ''Comic'' foundryman.
