Impressive antique regency mahogany 3-seater sofa. An early 19th century Regency mahogany sofa is an elegant piece of furniture typical of the Regency period in the United Kingdom (approximately 1811-1820).

The Regency style is characterized by a refined and symmetrical aesthetic. The sofa is elegant designed with rectilinear shapes and curved elements. The frame of the sofa is made of mahogany wood

A hallmark of Regency furniture is the fine carvings, such as acanthus leaves
The carvings are on the legs, the armrests and the top of the backrest. Regency furniture is characterized by symmetry and balanced proportions. The legs of the sofa are gracefully shaped (saber shape). This contributes to the elegance of the furniture.
