Vintage Design

Elegant, elaborately hand-crafted Louis XVI. Commode or Chest of Three Drawers from Austria/Vienna, late 18th Century around 1780-1800. Walnut and cherry veneer with inlays in plum, maple, ebony and green-stained wood. Gold-leaf decorative strip above and below and ornaments in the middle. Large box lock on the central drawer that locks the other drawers up and down. Original iron fittings. May have been coated in the past and can still be newly gold-plated, if wanted.
