Antique Italian painting from the 17th century. Artwork oil on canvas depicting a particular mythological subject Diana lying and asleep with faun of excellent pictorial quality. Large size and impact painting adorned with a carved and gilded wooden frame not coeval. Artwork that depicts Diana in the most famous pose of the Goddess Venus. Finely painted faun with the intention of moving the transparent sheet that covers the body of the Goddess (see photo). Woodland landscape with flowers and excellent quality alcove (see photo). Painting that has undergone an intense conservative restoration, relining, replacement of the frame and color recovery in different points, in particular on the body of the Divinity.
