About This Piece

Impressive Italian set of three oil paintings on canvas in the form of ovals.

The three paintings have an oval wooden frame painted in white with carved reliefs in the shape of a cross. They are decorated with the famous Italian trompe l'oeil, which seeks to achieve the simile of another material by polychroming the wooden base with great skill.

Each piece represents a different building of classical ruins, always surrounded by a natural environment, in which rocks and vegetation predominate, invading the monument.

The chromatic palette presented in each of the pieces is in grisaille, highlighting the different ranges of pastel shades, highlighted with black and brown borders that provide that grisaille effect so characteristic of the Renaissance painting it simulates.

They are works of great elegance that will stand out for their successful execution in any room. Their neutral colors will be relaxing.
