Susanna Costantini is the founder of Costantini Tessiture, her approach toward textile making is to design and create distinctive fabrics that combine traditional handloom weaving with contemporary vision for modern luxury design. In her weaving practice, the key concept is “intersection” as a narrative process that can deliver something from the past or something new, unexpected and original. Each weaving project comes from the observation of natural patterns or by experimenting with the combination of yarns different in origin and composition. At Costantini Tessiture hand-weaving is a way to explore visual art and communicate, warp and weft are like a binary system with endless possibilities. Each creation is handwoven by Susanna Costantini and it is the result of an entirely manual process and is therefore unique or limited edition.
