About This Piece

Alisei is an original artwork, a colorful lithograph on paper, realized by Piero Dorazio in 1981. Hand-signed and dated by the artist in pencil on the lower right. Numbered on the lower left. Edition of 100. Dry stamp Erker Presse San Gallo on the lower left. In very good conditions. Piero Dorazio (1927-2005) was an Italian painter. In parallel with his artistic practice, he conducted an intense theoretical and organizational activity in favor of non-figurative art. His research focused on the painterly properties of form, color, space, and materials, highlighting the value of the “line-light-color”. from 1960 to 1970, Dorazio taught at the University of Pennsylvania. He won prizes at the Venice and Paris Biennials and the Kandinsky Prize.
